IIT Roorkee has revealed the syllabus for the Physics paper of the GATE 2025 exam. Registration opens on August 24, 2024, and the exam will take place in February 2025.
According to the notice, the results for GATE 2025 will be announced on March 19, 2025.
The Physics paper covers a wide range of topics, divided into nine sections:

| Quantum Mechanics | Fundamentals of quantum mechanics, potential theory, angular momentum, perturbation theory, scattering theory |
| Thermodynamics and Statistical Physics | Laws of thermodynamics, statistical mechanics, phase transitions, quantum statistics |
| Atomic and Molecular Physics | Atomic and molecular spectra, transitions, spectroscopic techniques |
| Solid State Physics | Crystallography, bonding, electronic properties, magnetic properties of solids |
| Electronics | Semiconductor physics, electronic devices, circuits, digital electronics |
| Nuclear and Particle Physics | Nuclear structure, radioactivity, nuclear reactions, particle physics |
