The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) counselling for admission to premier engineering institutes in India has concluded. Students who secured seats in Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), and Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) are now preparing for the final admission
Important Dates for IIT Admissions
- Reporting for final admission at IITs commences. Specific dates vary by institute. Students are advised to refer to the official website of their allotted IIT for detailed information on reporting dates, orientation schedules, and class commencement.
- Information regarding the remaining college fees and documents required for admission will be available on the specific IIT website.
Important Information for NITs & IIITs Admissions:
- Students who secured NITs or IIITs seats must deposit a partial admission fee between July 24 and 26. The fee is Rs 45,000 for General, OBC, and EWS category students, and Rs 20,000 for SC/ST students.
- To secure their seat at the allotted NIT or IIIT, students must complete the final admission formalities. The specific process and required documents will be available on the institute’s website.
- Colleges will deduct the seat acceptance fee paid during counselling from the remaining college fees.
IIT First Semester Schedule:
- The first semester for various IITs will commence between July 22 and August 19.
- IIT Delhi leads the pack with classes starting on July 22, followed by IIT Guwahati (July 25), Indore (July 26), Bombay, Hyderabad, Rupnagar (July 29), and so on.
