Tata Motors aims to bring in electric luxury vehicles from Jaguar Land Rover. They’re using a fresh government policy to do it. This policy cuts import taxes if the company commits to local production, according to Hindu Businessline. Tesla may soon import its own cars too. They first argued against lower import duties for these cars. Now, they see a chance in the growing Indian market for electric moves and want a piece of it.
