The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has released the CLAT 2026 schedule. The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2026 is the national-level entrance exam for undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) law programs. This exam facilitates admission to 24 participating NLUs across India.
Dates for CLAT 2026
The CLAT 2026 exam will take place on Sunday, December 7, 2025. It will be a pen-and-paper (offline) test.
The CLAT 2026 application window opens on August 1, 2025. Candidates have three months to register, as the window closes on October 31, 2025.
Eligibility Criteria for CLAT 2026
For UG (5-year LLB) Program
- Candidates must have passed or be appearing in Class 12 or an equivalent examination.
- Minimum marks required:
- General/OBC/PwD/NRI: 45%
- SC/ST: 40%
For PG (LLM) Program
- Candidates must have completed or be in the final year of an LLB degree.
- Minimum marks required:
- General/OBC/PwD/NRI: 50%
- SC/ST: 45%
