BharatRohan, an Indian startup, is revolutionizing farming with drones technology. Founded in 2016 by engineers Amandeep Panwar and Rishabh Choudhary, it helps farmers make informed decisions. The company uses drones with hyperspectral cameras. These cameras identify issues like pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies early. This gives farmers a crucial advantage.

The company’s core platform, CropAssure, provides detailed insights. It detects problems weeks before human eyes can see them. This technology benefits over 50,000 farmers, monitoring 2 lakh acres of land. In FY23, BharatRohan saw a 196% increase in revenue.

Hyperspectral imaging forms the basis of BharatRohan’s system. This technology reads hundreds of light wavelengths from plants. Healthy and sick leaves reflect light differently. Drones collect this data. Then, AI algorithms convert it into actionable advice for farmers. Farmers receive reports on when to spray, irrigate, and optimize harvests. In Indian Farming, drones reduce guesswork, pesticide use, and increase yield.

BharatRohan also offers SeedAssure for quicker hybrid testing for seed companies. SourceAssure connects farmers directly to buyers, ensuring product traceability.

The company focuses on sustainable growth. It promotes Integrated Pest Management (IPM), which reduces chemical use. BharatRohan also pilots water-saving methods in paddy fields. It has developed bio-pesticide products like HumeShakti and SilverShakti. Furthermore, BharatRohan is launching a franchise model. This will bring drone-driven agriculture to local entrepreneurs.
