Indore: The Indian Institute of Management Indore (IIM Indore) and Indian Institute of Technology Indore (IIT Indore) have jointly launched the fourth batch of their Master’s in Data Science and Management (MSDSM) program. The program aims to produce leaders who can effectively use data to make business decisions.
A total of 80 students, including 30 women, have joined the program. The students come from diverse backgrounds, with 74 from engineering and six from non-engineering fields.
IIM Indore Director Prof. Himanshu Rai highlighted the importance of diverse experiences and empathy. He encouraged students to pursue their goals with determination and learn from both successes and failures. Prof. Suhas Joshi, IIT Indore Director, highlighted the program’s interdisciplinary approach, combining the strengths of both institutes.

The MSDSM program stands out by blending technical skills with business acumen. Students learn about data science, management, technology, and people management. The program includes practical projects to bridge theory with real-world challenges.
With this fourth batch, IIM Indore and IIT Indore reaffirm their commitment to data science and management education. The program is designed to equip future leaders with the skills needed to excel in the data-driven world.
