Pilani, Rajasthan, India – BITS Pilani, is a reputed institution known for its academic excellence and innovative approach. Laid the foundation stone for the “Rakesh Verma Convention Centre” on April 18, 2024. Rakesh Verma, the Founder and Chairman of MapmyIndia. India’s leading mapmaker, and an alumnus of BITS Pilani, is behind this initiative. This project marks a significant development following Mr. Verma’s commitment last year to contribute to the development of modern infrastructure at the Pilani campus, the largest ever by a BITS alumnus.
This design creates a state-of-the-art convention center that serves as a hub for collaboration and the exchange of ideas. It will feature a 200-seat conference room that will host a variety of national and international conferences, high-end executive development programs, workshops, and alumni meets. The center will also provide comfortable lodging with 94 well-equipped rooms for visitors. The center’s strategic location on the BITS Pilani campus makes it ideal for these purposes.

This project is expected to be completed within 18 months. It will significantly enhance the institute’s capacity to organize international conferences, events, and workshops.
𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗿𝘆𝗮 𝗗𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗻𝗶 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 expressed his views about Rakesh Verma Convention Centre: “It’s certain that the center would become a superlative facility that meets the evolving needs of the community.”
