American rapper-producer Kanye West has delayed his much-awaited debut live show in India, postponing what would have been his first major Kanye West concert in the country. The event was initially set for March 29, 2026 at New Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.
Following the current geopolitical situation and escalating regional tensions impacting international travelling and event organization on a large scale, the gig has been postponed to May 23, 2026, the organizers said.
The organizers posted the change on their social media accounts, stating that after deliberation and considerations for the safety of fans, the artist and production team who would attend the event, the decision has been made.
The show was anticipated to be West’s debut live performance in India, and was thus among the most eagerly awaited international music events for fans in the country.
Event producers also confirmed that tickets for the original March 29 date will be valid for the rescheduled concert in May, so fans will be able to attend the event without having to buy tickets again.
Kanye West, a global hip-hop and music production powerhouse, has produced numerous chart-toppers including Heartless, Runaway, Stronger and Gold Digger. His concerts typically attract large audiences around the world.
The event in New Delhi is slated to attract a large number of fans and is being sponsored by big entertainment companies that specialize in massive live events in India.
