According to Downdetector, a website that monitors service problems, over 2,000 users reported issues during the outage. Many travelers shared screenshots of error messages like “Unable to perform action due to maintenance activity.”
IRCTC Outage Creates Problems
Since IRCTC’s platform is essential for millions of travelers booking train tickets across India, the outage caused a lot of trouble. Travelers have expressed their frustration over the lack of communication and are asking the service provider to act quickly.
“This outage is really inconvenient,” said a regular traveler on social media. “I hope IRCTC fixes it soon and ensures it doesn’t happen again.”

IRCTC explained that the website was down because of maintenance work. In a statement, they said, “Due to maintenance, the e-ticketing service is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later.”
