Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by eight (8) wickets to secure their place in the IPL final. Openers Venkatesh Iyer and Shreyas Iyer made an unbeaten 97-run partnership to easily achieve the small target of 159 runs.
Earlier, bowlers Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins starred for KKR, dismissing SRH batsmen cheaply. Rahul Tripathi’s 55 was a lone bright spot for Hyderabad.

Co-owner Shah Rukh Khan, who was celebrating the win with his children, inadvertently disrupted the on-ground live show. Upon realizing his mistake, Khan apologized to former cricketers Aakash Chopra, Parthiv Patel, and Suresh Raina.
A video of the incident has gone viral, showcasing Khan’s humility and sportsmanship. Chopra also called Khan a “legend” and said that his presence “made his day.”
KKR is now gearing up for the final, while Khan is focusing on his upcoming film project, tentatively titled “King”.
