- A realistic portrait of the middle class: Gullak does a fantastic job of portraying the values of everyday life in an Indian middle-class family. The gullak, a lowly piggy bank, serves as the show’s narrator and provides a unique viewpoint on the family’s happiness, sadness, and financial realities.
