Sainik Schools Privatization: A Controversial Issue

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has written to President Droupadi Murmu to stop the privatization of Sainik schools. Kharge claims that 62% of the schools are now owned by BJP-RSS leaders, which is a dangerous step to politicize these schools and could indoctrinate armed forces with a particular ideology. 

The Ministry of Defence has denied these allegations. They stated that the selection process is fair and not influenced by political or ideological affiliations. Kharge asserts that this move violates the long-standing convention of keeping the armed forces away from partisan politics.
