The Government of India has started a program called the PM Internship Scheme (Prime Minister Scheme) to help students find jobs. This program will give students 1.25 lakh internship opportunities at top companies in India during the year 2024-25. Over the next five years, the scheme plans to offer 1 crore internships, giving young people important work experience.
Who can Apply?
- Age: 21-24 years old
- Currently not working or Full-time Studying
- Not from families with government Jobs (except apply for ITI & Kaushal Kendra graduates)
- Not graduates from prestigious institutions (IITs, IIMs, CA, CMA)
What are the Benefits of the PM Internship Scheme?
- 12 months of actual work experience at big companies
- A monthly allowance of Rs. 5,000/- (Rs. 4,500/- from the government + Rs. 500/- from the company)
- A one-time payment of Rs. 6,000/- for extra costs
- Insurance included under PM Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and PM Suraksha Bima Yojana
