Hardik Pandya Joins Team India for T20 World Cup

Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya has put recent controversies behind him and joined Team India in New York to focus on the upcoming ICC 2024 T20 World Cup. Pandya, who also serves as the team’s vice-captain, shared pictures on social media from the team’s first training session, captioned “On national duty.”

The move signals Pandya’s full commitment to the national team after a challenging IPL season. He captained Mumbai Indians, but the team finished last in the league stage. Despite the noise off the field, Pandya is ready to contribute to India’s T20 World Cup campaign starting on June 2.

Team India, under the leadership of captain Rohit Sharma, had started preparations in New York a few days ago. Other key players like Jasprit Bumrah and Suryakumar Yadav are also part of the training camp. With the entirel squad now assembled, India aim to take the field and defend their T20 World Cup title.
