IIT Delhi has launched a new online Post Graduate Diploma in Electric Vehicle (EV) Technology. This one-year program is for engineers, professionals, and entrepreneurs. It aims to support India’s mission of green mobility. The program is offered through the Centre for Automotive Research and Tribology (CART). It prepares participants to contribute to India’s goal of 30% EV adoption by 2030.
The diploma will give participants a mix of technical knowledge and practical skills. The curriculum covers key areas such as:

- Power electronics
- Power train design
- Charging infrastructure
- Safety systems
- Role of AI in fault diagnostics
This blended program includes both online classes and on-campus immersion sessions. These in-person sessions offer lab exposure and academic interaction with IIT Delhi faculty. The curriculum also includes case studies, simulations, and capstone projects. These features make the learning experience more relevant to the industry.
The program is a collaboration with Jaro Education. They will help with course delivery and accessibility nationwide. IIT Delhi faculty and EV industry experts will conduct the live classes. This mix of academic knowledge and practical experience is a key part of the program. It will help participants prepare for real-world challenges in the EV sector.
To apply, candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in electrical sciences or a related field. They also need relevant industry experience. The program is specifically for working professionals who want to improve their skills without leaving their careers. Admission is based on academic history and professional background.
