Banaras Hindu University (BHU) is offering 110 paid internships position under the Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Internship for the 2025–26 academic year. This initiative, part of the Institution of Eminence (IoE) scheme, provides a monthly stipend of Rs 20,000. The deadline to apply is July 21, 2025.
Eligibility Criteria
These internships are exclusively for BHU postgraduates who completed their studies in the 2024–25 academic session with no backlogs. The maximum age for general category applicants is 28 years, with age relaxations for SC, ST, and OBC candidates per government norms.
The 110 internship slots are spread across several disciplines:
- Library Category (20 positions):
- 15 for MLib & Information Science graduates
- 5 for MCA or MSc in Computer Science graduates
- Physical Education (10 positions):
- For MPEd postgraduates
- Education Stream (10 positions):
- 8 for MEd
- 2 for MEd in Special Education
- Performing Arts (20 positions):
- Tabla – 11, Vocal – 5, Violin – 2
- Bharatanatyam – 1, Kathak – 1
- Visual Arts (20 positions):
- Painting – 5, Applied Art – 4, Plastic Art – 5
- Textile Design – 3, Pottery Ceramics – 3
- Commerce Stream (20 positions):
- Focus on Finance and Accounting
- External Communication (10 positions):
- Journalism and Mass Communication – 5
- Hindi – 1, English – 1, Applied Arts – 2, Computer Science – 1
Application and Selection Process for BHU Paid Internships
The internship period runs from September 1, 2025, to August 31, 2026. Selection will involve an assessment of academic performance and a personal interview. Reservation norms will be followed.
Applicants must submit their forms through their respective Heads of Department. For Library internships, applications go through the Librarian. For other fields, submit to the Deans or Heads of the concerned departments. Ensure all required documents accompany the prescribed application form.
