Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has launched the Viksit Delhi Internship Programme to involve young people in the working of the government. The scheme will select 150 interns for a three-month paid internship. Each selected candidate will receive a monthly stipend of ₹20,000.

Selection Process
- Stage 1: Online Application
Candidates must apply online and meet basic eligibility.
Key focus areas include:
- Leadership ability
- Civic knowledge
- Awareness of public administration
- Stage 2: Boot Camp
Around 300 shortlisted candidates will attend a one-day camp.
It will include:
- Interactive workshops
- Group sessions
- Essay writing round
- Final Selection:
Based on performance at the boot camp, 150 interns will be selected.

Internship Structure
The internship is divided into three phases:
- Orientation and Training
- Basic understanding of Delhi Government’s structure
- Overview of key policy areas
- Field Assignments
- Interns will be posted across all 70 assembly constituencies
- They will identify local issues and propose simple solutions
- Policy and Departmental Work
- Interns will work within government departments
- They will write policy drafts on 10 selected governance issues
- The top 2 drafts will be submitted to the Chief Minister
