The Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management (SJMSOM) at IIT Bombay has announced a significant revision to its MBA eligibility criteria for IIT Bombay MBA Non-Engineers. For the upcoming 2025-27 batch, the program will accept a larger number of students from non-engineering backgrounds. This move aims to create a more diverse and inclusive learning environment, reflecting today’s complex business landscape.
Previously, the MBA program at SJMSOM primarily admitted candidates with four-year degrees, often from technical fields. Now, students holding a three-year bachelor’s degree in any subject can apply. This expansion opens opportunities for graduates from diverse fields such as arts, commerce, law, and medicine.
