Tamil Nadu Board Releases Exam Dates

The Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE), Tamil Nadu, has officially announced the exam schedule for the SSLC (Class 10), Class 11 (+1), and Class 12 (+2) board examinations for the academic year 2024-2025. The announcement was made by the Tamil Nadu School Education Minister, Anbil Mahesh, at the Coimbatore District Collector’s Office. Tamil Nadu Class 12 Board Exam Dates

The Class 12 exams are set to begin on March 3, 2025 with the Tamil and other language subjects. The schedule for major subjects includes:

  • March 6: English
  • March 11: Mathematics, Zoology, Commerce, and other science and vocational subjects
  • March 14: Computer Science, Political Science, Statistics, and more
  • March 18: Biology, History, Business Mathematics, and Engineering subjects
  • March 21: Chemistry, Accounts, and Geography
  • March 25: Physics, Economics, and Employability Skills

Tamil Nadu Class 11 Board Exam Dates

The Class 11 exams will commence from March 5, 2025:

  • March 5: Tamil and other languages
  • March 10: English
  • March 13: Computer Science, Political Science, and Nursing (Vocational)
  • March 17: Biology, History, and Engineering subjects
  • March 20: Mathematics and Science subjects
  • March 24: Chemistry, Accounts, and Geography

Tamil Nadu Class 10 Board Exam Dates

Tamil Nadu Board Class 10 (SSLC) exams will begin on March 28, 2025, with Tamil and other language papers. The key dates include:

  • April 2: English
  • April 4: Optional Language
  • April 7: Mathematics
  • April 11: Science
  • April 15: Social Science

Practical Exam Schedule

Practical exams will be held as follows:

  • Class 12: February 7 to 14, 2025
  • Class 11: February 12 to 20, 2025
  • Class 10: February 22 to 28, 2025

Tamil Nadu Board Last Year’s Exam Statistics

In the previous academic year, 7,60,606 students appeared for the Class 12 exams, with a 94.56% overall pass rate. The science stream recorded the highest candidates, while vocational streams saw over 28,500 students clear the exams. Class 10 saw a pass percentage of 91.55%, a slight increase from previous years.
