India’s busiest airport, Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) in Delhi, will face temporary flight restrictions from January 19th to 29th to ensure smooth and secure Republic Day celebrations.
- Daily Flight Halts: All flights, both arrivals and departures, will be suspended daily from 10:20 AM to 12:45 PM until January 26th.
- Broader Airspace Limitations
- Authorities have restricted non-scheduled flights of scheduled airlines and charters between 10:00 AM and 1:15 PM from January 19th to 25th.
- January 26th-29th: Similar restrictions extended from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
“As per the NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) issued for Republic Day week from 19th to 26th Jan 2025, no flights would be arriving or departing from Delhi Airport between 10:20 AM to 12:45 PM IST,” DIAL said in a post on X.
