Uttar Pradesh is in the grip of heavy rains and deadly lightning strikes. According to reports, around 40 people have lost their lives in separate incidents across the state.
- 38 Deaths Confirmed: The tragedy occurred as the state grapples with the ongoing flood crisis, which has severely disrupted everyday life.
- Pratapgarh Worst Hit: The highest number of casualties, at 11, were reported from the Pratapgarh district.
- Other Affected Districts: Seven deaths occurred in Sultanpur, followed by six in Chandauli, five in Mainpuri, and four in Prayagraj.
