NCW Calls for Action

  • A social media user named K. Ahmad posted an objectionable comment under a photo of Smriti Singh at the award ceremony.
  • The NCW condemned this behavior and highlighted that Ahmed’s remarks violated Section 79 of the Indian Judicial Code, 2023, and Section 67 of the Information Technology Act, 2000.
  • The commission demanded the Delhi Police arrest Ahmad and submit a detailed report within three days.
