Royal Challengers Bangalore’s Glenn Maxwell has opted for an indefinite break from the ongoing IPL season due to mental and physical fatigue. The all-rounder, who has struggled for form this season with only 32 runs in six matches, requested the management to field another player in their recent match against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Glenn Maxwell himself revealed the decision to the media after the loss, admitting his lack of contribution with the bat. The move is a blow to RCB, who are currently at the bottom of the IPL points table.
