Buxar, Bihar: Students at Murar High School in Buxar, Bihar, attacked teachers after a dispute over the distribution of sweets during Independence Day celebrations. The violence exploded when a group of students, some of whom were not enrolled in the school, demanded sweets from the teachers.

The teachers refused, stating that the sweets were only for current students. This led to a heated exchange, which escalated into violence. One teacher was pushed to the ground, and another, Pankaj Kumar, was assaulted by the students. The incident took place on the main road, causing a commotion.

Murar police were alerted and arrived at the scene, successfully calming the situation. However, the teachers were again confronted by the alleged students on their way home. Pankaj Kumar was surrounded and assaulted by the students, who used abusive language. Other teachers arrived to assist.

The teachers later went to the Murar police station to file a formal complaint. However, they had to wait as the Independence Day ceremony was still in progress. After informing the police of the situation, the teachers left the station without filing the complaint and returned home.

Some of the students claimed that sweets were previously distributed to all attendees, regardless of enrollment, during school events. They alleged that the teachers were rude when they requested sweets this year.

However, the school principal, Sushil Kumar, dismissed these claims as baseless. Murar Police Station Officer Kamalnayan Pandey confirmed that they received information about the assault on the teachers and that the police are investigating the incident from various angles.
