What’s Next? UPSC ESE Mains 2025
The focus now shifts to the UPSC ESE Mains 2025. It will be held on August 10, 2025. The mains exam differs from the prelims. Prelims had objective questions. Mains will have descriptive, written papers.
These papers are based on your chosen engineering discipline. These include Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics & Telecommunication. The exam assesses your conceptual understanding. It also checks your problem-solving skills.

The main exam has two conventional (written) papers. Each paper carries 300 points. Both papers are three hours long. You need a strong command of subject theory.
