The official data highlights a significant rise in both budget and student participation over the last five years.

The Spending Trends

The data shows that spending peaked in 2023 at ₹27.70 crore. However, the government reduced the costs in 2024. For the Pariksha Pe Charcha 2025 edition, the expenditure increased again by ₹2 crore compared to the previous year.

Despite the higher total cost, the program became more cost-effective. The cost per participant dropped drastically from ₹43.07 in 2021 to just ₹3.68 in 2025. This decrease happened because the number of participants grew massively to over 5 crore.

Impact Assessment and Future Plans

The government uses digital viewership and feedback from schools to measure the program’s success. Furthermore, the NCERT’s Manodarpan initiative supports students with issues raised during the sessions.
