JEE Main 2025: NTA Asks Candidates to Upload Correct Photos in Application

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued a crucial notification of guidelines for all candidates who have applied for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025. The notice emphasizes the importance of uploading accurate and clear photographs in the online application form.

JEE Main 2025 Photograph Specifications Guidelines

  • File Size: The image should be in 10 KB to 300 KB
  • Type: The recent color photo (without mask) with 80% face visible, including ears.
  • Background: The background of the photograph should be White
  • File Name: “Photograph” in JPG/JPEG format (clearly legible).
  • You may include specks in the photo only if you wear the spectacles regularly.
  • Photo Format: No Polaroid or computer-generated images allowed

Consequences of Incorrect Photos: The NTA warns that it may reject or delay processing applications with incorrect or blurry photographs. This could potentially impact a candidate’s eligibility to appear for the exam.

Action for Candidates: Candidates who have already submitted their applications are advised to carefully review the notification and ensure their uploaded photographs meet all the specified criteria. If necessary, they may be required to rectify the issue by uploading the correct photographs within the stipulated timeframe.

Important Notes

  • We will reject applications with unclear or incorrect photos.
  • We do not require attestation for photographs.
  • Keep 6 to 8 passport-sized photos with a white background.
  • We will reject fabricated or edited photos and consider them as unfair means.
