The new students at Ashoka University will have the opportunity to shape India’s future as the university announced today its plans to establish The Isaac Centre for Public Policy (ICPP). To be India’s leading public policy centre (or think tank on public policy) that will strive to do high-quality research and influence.
The Centre’s mission is three-fold
Academic Programs & Executive Education: ICPP will launch programs to teach and train the next generation of leaders on public policy. It will also offer executive education that will allow policymakers to access training in other areas, such as regulatory policy.
Policy & Practitioner-Led Research: The Centre will connect policymakers and practitioners through joint research initiatives, reducing the divide between knowledge theory and application at the ground level. This research will be converted to meaningful case studies and policy briefs.
Public Policy Events: In addition to its Core Program, ICPP will also hold public policy events that bring together policymakers, the public, and academic conversations.
The Centre can uniquely help India meet its economic aims from both the supply and demand sides. This will be a crucial step forward to developing India into a $10 trillion economy by 2035. Through accelerated, inclusive, and sustainable growth using extensive research & educational activities—aimed by ICPP.
