For admissions to MBA programs, applicants are required to participate in the Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GD/PI) rounds conducted by business schools. Preparing for leading MBA entrance examinations is less challenging than preparing for GD/PI, as each exam has a defined syllabus from which questions are drawn. A candidate needs only to dedicate several months to cover the syllabus of the MBA exam. In contrast, GD/PI does not have a predetermined syllabus or structure. A personal interview round for MBA admission is a personality assessment test in which the admission panel has a good opportunity to know a candidate and the candidate has a good opportunity to present their best aspects.
