US President-elect Donald Trump has chosen Alina Habba as his advisor. Habba worked as one of Trump’s lawyers in a case about hush money in New York and also spoke for him in legal matters. This decision was shared on Sunday on Trump’s social media site, Truth Social. Trump said Habba is very loyal. “She has always been loyal and strong, standing by me during many court cases, fights, and long days in court,” Trump wrote. “Alina Habba knows more than almost anyone about how the ‘unfair’ legal system can be used against someone.”

A jury in New York found Trump guilty of 34 serious charges connected to a payment made to keep something quiet during the 2016 election. Habba often stood with Trump during his recent campaign, including at a big event at Madison Square Garden. Trump also made two important appointments for the State Department. Michael Anton, who used to speak for the National Security Council, will be the director of policy planning. Michael Needham, who was once the top assistant for Senator Marco Rubio, will be a counselor. Rubio is Trump’s choice for the position of secretary of state.
