India’s Top 10 Carmakers in 2026

Maruti Suzuki leads the market Sold 1,786,226 units in 2025, accounting for ~39.9% market share — the highest among all brands.

Mahindra climbs to 2nd place Sales reached 592,771 units with a 13.25% market share, overtaking Tata to secure second.

Tata sold 567,607 vehicles, capturing 12.68% of market share, slightly below last year’s figures.                                             

Hyundai sold 559,558 units (12.5%), while Toyota sold 320,703 units (7.17%) in 2025.                                                                    

Kia moved 259,043 units (5.79%). Skoda-Volkswagen combined sold 108,277 units (2.42%) in 2025.                           

Top 10 Completes With:MG: 65,614 units (1.47%) • Honda: 62,576 units (1.40%) • Renault: 36,420 units (0.81%) in 2025

Mahindra and Toyota gained share in 2025, while Tata and Hyundai saw small declines in share vs 2024.

SUV demand and value-for-money models pushed Mahindra and Tata higher in rankings. Maruti remains dominant.
