IndiGo Offers a Seat Selection Facility for Better Convenience for Female Passengers

IndiGo new feature

To improve the travel experience of its women passengers, India’s largest airline IndiGo has launched a new feature during web check-in. This feature allows women to view seats already booked by other women passengers.

Female passengers, especially those traveling alone, can now choose to sit next to another woman for greater comfort and peace of mind.

This initiative follows market research conducted by IndiGo to understand the needs of its women customers.

  • This facility is currently in pilot mode.
  • This is available during web check-in for reservations only for female passengers (both single and family bookings).
  • The airline says this is in line with their ‘Girl Power’ ethos.

This development comes alongside recent news regarding Singapore Airlines (SIA) revising its in-flight service protocols following the turbulence incident.
