YouTube CEO Neal Mohan said OpenAI training Sora on YouTube videos would violate the platform’s rules. If OpenAI uses YouTube videos to train Sora, it would be against YouTube’s terms of service. YouTube‘s policy doesn’t allow downloading transcripts or video bits. OpenAI CTO, Mira Murati, needed clarification about the data used to train Sora. Google uses YouTube content on terms of service or individual contracts with creators or uploaders. YouTube recently made it easy for users to skip to important parts in videos by auto-generating key moments in any video viewed on TV.
