OnePlus 13 will Arrive on October 31 in China with Snapdragon 8 Elite Chip, Advanced Display from BOE

OnePlus has now confirmed that its newest phone, the OnePlus 13, will be launched in China on October 31. The new phone will sport Qualcomm’s newest Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and a display manufactured by BOE. With only days remaining ahead of the official launch, OnePlus started to give glimpses of the display features and specifications of the OnePlus 13. This device is set to run ColorOS 15—based on Android 15—and will be available in three color variants.

OnePlus 13 Display Features Unveiled

Ahead of the launch of the OnePlus 13, the company has teased some of the display features. For starters, the OnePlus phone will pack a second-generation Oriental X2 8T LTPO AMOLED display supplied by BOE, offering a refresh rate of 120 Hz, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision. The news came via serial teaser images published on Weibo, the Chinese social media site.

Improved Eye Protection and Certification

Teasers from OnePlus also note that the display will boast DisplayMate A++ and TUV Rheinland Intelligent Eye Protection 4.0 certifications. Aside from DC dimming, it will include anti-flicker technology to minimize eye strain.

Rain Touch 2.0 and Gaming Enhancements

In addition, OnePlus teases that the OnePlus 13 display could feature Rain Touch 2.0, making it functional even with wet fingers. Furthermore, it will support touch input while wearing gloves, adding versatility for different conditions. A teaser also mentions optimized touch sensitivity for gaming, enhancing mobile gaming experiences.

OnePlus 13 Expected Specifications

Under the hood, the OnePlus 13 will reportedly sport Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, paired with up to 24GB of RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage. It will run Android 15 with ColorOS 15 in China or OxygenOS 15 elsewhere. Recently, the OnePlus 13 surpassed the notable benchmark of three million points on AnTuTu, promising impressive performance.
