At the Worldwide Developers Conference, Apple finally announced its long-awaited entry into innovative AI technologies. The business also released updates for its iPad and iPhone operating systems (iOS 18 and iPad), as well as a new platform called Apple Intelligence.
Apple Intelligence promises to personalize the user experience with features like text summarization, original image creation, and relevant data retrieval. The company emphasized user privacy throughout the presentation, with a system called Private Cloud Compute ensuring secure data handling.
Siri Gets a Boost
To compete with engaging digital assistants like Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa, Apple is updating Siri. With the addition of new features like realistic in-app control and free access to OpenAI’s ChatGPT technology, Siri will be able to communicate with users through voice commands.
A number of improvements aimed at improving customization, productivity, and communication will be available with iOS 18 and iPadOS. A new home screen with customizable icon placement and colors is what users can anticipate. An iPad app called Calculator, which can be used with an Apple Pencil to calculate handwritten equations, is much wanted.
Apple announced the international launch of its Vision Pro headset, starting with pre-orders in China, Hong Kong, Japan, and Singapore on June 13th. The headset boasts new features for photography and office work, including 3D photo conversion and virtual wraparound displays.
