The Dream Run of Team India in the Test at home continues as India defeated England by 5 wickets in the 4th test. India registers 17th consecutive test series win on home soil most by any team. However, this win was not easy for India as the Ranchi track was not so batsman-friendly.
A decent opening partnership between Yashasvi Jaiswal and Captain Rohit Sharma took India to an easy win but then collapse happened. In no time India lost 5 wickets and the match took a turn. But After that, Shubhamn Gill’s fighting 52* and Dhruv Jurel’s 39* guided India to victory.
Dhurv Jurel’s 90 runs in the first innings and 39 in the second innings make him the player of the match. Apart from him 6 wickets of Ashwin, 5 wickets and fighting 28 of Kuldeep, 73 & 37 of Jaisalwal, 38 & 52 of Gill, and 4 wickes of debutant Akashdeep guided India to victory.
India now has the most consecutive test series win at home soil -17 followed by Australia 10. For England, this is the first test series loss for them under the coaching of Brendan McCullum.
