In the upcoming 2024 elections, women voters are expected more to vote as compared to men. We are making it a significant moment in India’s elections.
The total voting population of around 68 crore, and the share of women is likely to be 49%. By 2029, the number of women voters may reach 37 crore, surpassing 36 crore male voters. In 2047, women’s voting percentage may increase to 55%, while men’s voting percentage may decline to 45%.
This shift highlights the growing importance of women in politics, influenced by factors such as empowerment, education, media exposure, and efforts by the Election Commission of India to promote women’s participation. This change reflects a shift towards greater gender equality and an active role for women in shaping the political landscape of the country.
