The Lok Sabha Elections 2024 are set to commence on April 19 and end on June 4, as announced by the Election Commission of India. As per the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) calendar for 2024, many banks in various cities will observe holidays on voting days.
Banks in the Following Cities Will Remain Closed on April 19
- Chennai
- Dehradun
- Itanagar
- Jaipur
- Kohima
- Nagpur
- Shillong
Banks will remain closed in these cities on April 19 due to the Lok Sabha elections in 2024. The RBI has issued a holiday calendar for the convenience of these closures.
The elections will be held in seven phases, with the remaining phases taking place on April 26, May 7, May 13, May 20, May 25, and June 1.
