Jaipur: Responding to the tragic incident at a coaching center in Delhi, the Jaipur Municipal Corporation has taken action against coaching institutes with poor safety standards and sealed them.
Two coaching centers located at Gopalpura Bypass were sealed on Tuesday for failing in the surprise inspection under the leadership of Mayor Dr. Soumya Gurjar. Gurukripa Career Institute did not have FIRE NOC and did not pay urban development tax. Kalam Academy was overcrowded and lacked essential firefighting equipment.
The Jaipur Municipal Corporation has taken this action due to the surge in coaching centers in Jaipur. Especially in areas like Gopalpura Bypass, Tonk Ghatak, and Pratap Nagar. These institutes cater to thousands of students aspiring for competitive exams like NEET, JEE, IAS, RAS, and REET.
The incident exposed critical safety lapses in many coaching centers. The absence of fire safety measures, overcrowding, and lack of regular inspections are major concerns.
The civic body has formed a committee to assess the safety standards in all the coaching institutes in Jaipur. Prioritize safety and verify required security features before enrolling.
The authorities have also appealed to the students to immediately report any security breach.
The Jaipur Municipal Corporation‘s action is commendable. It prioritizes student safety.
