Actor Sahil Khan was arrested by Mumbai Police on April 27th in connection with the Mahadev betting app scam case. The Bombay High Court had previously rejected his bail plea. Khan is among 32 others accused of promoting the illegal betting app.
Bollywood Actors Questioned
Several other Bollywood celebrities have also been questioned in the case, including Ranbir Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, Kapil Sharma, Hina Khan, Huma Qureshi, Tamannaah Bhatia, Badshah, Sanjay Dutt, and Jacqueline Fernandez. Investigations are ongoing, with authorities examining financial records and electronic devices.
Mahadev App Scam Allegations
The Mahadev betting app is alleged to be a ₹15,000 crore scam involving online gambling and illegal transactions. The app’s promoters are accused of using social media platforms and various online channels to facilitate betting activities.
