Bride’s Ex-Lover Pretenses Gift-Giving, Turns Violent

  • The attacker, identified as Shankar Lal Bharti, reportedly knew the bride from their time working together as teachers two years ago.
  • Bharti approached the couple onstage under the guise of presenting a wedding gift.
  • During a photo opportunity, Bharti lunged at the groom and attacked him with a knife.

Groom Sustains Injuries, Pagadi Offers Protection

  • Fortunately, the groom’s traditional headwear, the pagadi, absorbed some of the blows, preventing serious injuries.
  • The groom did sustain injuries in the assault.

Bride’s Brother Files Police Complaint
