The Rajasthan government led by Finance Minister and Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari presented its budget for the financial year 2024-25. The budget speech had a clear vision of taking the state towards a $350 billion economy and developing quality infrastructure.
Diya Kumari highlighted 10 major resolutions of the government, including the construction of nine greenfield expressways spanning over 2,750 kilometers. This ambitious infrastructure project aims to increase connectivity and facilitate seamless movement across the state.
Addressing the important issue of unemployment, Diya Kumari announced the government’s commitment to fill 4 lakh vacancies in the next five years. The government’s focus is on youth empowerment.
Importance of water security, the Budget allocated Rs 15,000 crore to supply tap water to 25 lakh rural households. The health sector got a significant boost with a proposed outlay of Rs 27,000 crore. The government plans to provide electricity connections to 2 lakh households.
Diya Kumari also announced the formation of the Rajasthan Tourism Development Board. Signaling her intention to harness the state’s tourism potential. Rs 100 crore has been determined in the budget for the development of the corridor at the popular pilgrimage site Khatu Shyam Temple.
Addressing the issue of incidents of paper leaks in the previous government. Diya Kumari assured that the present administration has taken strict action against the mafia, resulting in more than 100 arrests.
Rajasthan Budget 2024-25 presents a roadmap for the development of the state, focusing on infrastructure, employment, water security, and tourism.
