Avoid wearing this color

First, women should take a bath in the morning and wear clean clothes. Worshipping in dirty clothes is considered unlucky. Also, don’t wear black clothes on this day. You can wear light yellow or orange clothes instead.

Don’t drink cow’s milk

On this day, boil the bark of Peepal, Neem, Mango, Gular, and Banyan trees in water. Use that water to take a bath. This will make you feel refreshed and help you stay away from sickness.

Today, make three birds out of rice flour and cook them in water. Give one bird to a cow, place the second one on the roof, and offer the third one to Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha. People think this brings good luck for children.
