Akshay Kumar is back with his new movie, Kesari Chapter 2. The movie was released today, April 18. R Madhavan and Ananya Panday also star in it. Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions produced the film. Karan Singh Tyagi directed it. This is his first movie as a director.
The film tells the story of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. It shows the courtroom fight after the killings. Indian lawyer C Sankaran Nair fought against the British. He sued General Michael O’Dwyer. The movie is based on a book. The book is “The Case That Shook The Empire” by Raghu Palat.
Vicky Kaushal, who acted in “Sardar Udham,” narrates the movie. Simon Paisley plays the British general. This is his first Bollywood movie.

The movie is an engaging courtroom drama. Akshay Kumar is good as the lawyer. Ananya Panday and R Madhavan also give strong performances. The film tells an important historical story.

The movie is expected to earn between Rs 7 to Rs 8 crore on its first day. It has already earned about Rs 3 crore from advance bookings. By Friday afternoon, it had collected around Rs 1.59 crore.
