Get ready for a new drama! Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s latest series, “Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar,” is set in pre-independence India. The story of courtesans in the red-light district of Heera Mandi in Lahore.
The Heeramandi series stars Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, and Sharmin Segal. Explores themes of love, betrayal, succession, and politics in the kothas (house of courtesans).
The series is set against the backdrop of the Indian freedom struggle of the 1940s. Promises Bhansali’s signature style of larger-than-life stories, intricate characters, and unique compositions and music. The series is set to premiere on Netflix on May 1, 2024.
