The Indian film industry lost a true legend today. Veteran actor Dharmendra passed away at his home in Mumbai on Sunday afternoon. He was 89 years old. According to reports, an ambulance was seen leaving his Juhu home, and family members gathered at the crematorium.
The actor recently experienced health issues. He was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital earlier this month, but returned home to recover. However, his condition worsened on November 24th.
Filmmaker Karan Johar confirmed the news on Instagram. He paid a heartfelt tribute to the star. Johar called it “the end of an era” and described Dharmendra as “a huge megastar” and “the nicest human being.”

Born in Punjab, Dharmendra Kewal Krishan Deol began his film career in 1960. Known for his versatility, he played the roles of a romantic hero, a comedy genius, and an action star with equal ease.
