Speculation about a divorce between actor Govinda and his wife, Sunita Ahuja, is incorrect. Govinda’s lawyer, Lalit Bindra, denied the Govinda-Sunita divorce rumors. He stated that there is no active case, and people are just bringing up old matters. A family source confirmed the couple will be seen together celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi.
The rumors started after reports from court documents claimed that Sunita filed for divorce in December 2024. The papers reportedly cited “adultery, cruelty, and desertion” as reasons. The reports also stated that the couple has been attending court-mandated counseling since June 2025.
A close family friend also dismissed the divorce buzz. They said that while the couple has had their differences over their 38 years of marriage, they have always resolved them. The friend added that Govinda relies on Sunita. Meanwhile, Sunita herself strongly denied separation rumors earlier this year. She told the media that no one can separate her from Govinda.
