Students in Rajasthan are facing significant delays in receiving their Class 5th and 8th board exam mark sheets, four months after the results were announced. This delay is primarily due to the non-printing of Board exam mark sheets by the Registrar Education Departmental Office in Bikaner.

  • 26.86 lakh students appeared for class 5th and 8th exams in 2023-24.
  • 90,766 students from Sikar district are affected.
  • 45,031 class 5 and 45,735 class 8 students are awaiting mark sheets.

The exams were conducted from March 28 to May 4, and the results were released on May 30. However, many students have yet to receive their crucial documents. This is causing considerable inconvenience, especially as they need the mark sheets for admission to the next class.

The delay is impacting thousands of students across the state. In Sikar district alone, over 90,000 students are affected. This issue is particularly problematic for students who have enrolled in new schools after the board exams. They are unable to complete their admission process without the required mark sheets.

To address the situation, students are making rounds of the district education department offices and their schools. However, the lack of mark sheets is still a major obstacle. Some schools are accepting online mark sheets as a temporary solution, but this is not always feasible.

The delay in mark sheet distribution is a significant concern for students and their families. It is essential for the authorities to expedite the process and ensure that all students receive their mark sheets promptly. This will allow them to proceed with their education and future plans without further delay.
