NTA will release the official brochure and exam date for JEE Mains 2025 in November 2024. The official website for NTA JEE Mains 2025 will be jeemain.nta.ac.in. The registration form for JEE Main exam 2024 will be available for eligible candidates in online mode. National Testing Agency will conduct JEE Mains 2025 in January and April 2025.
JEE Main stands for Joint Entrance Examination – It’s a highly competitive national-level entrance exam conducted in India for admission to undergraduate engineering, architecture, and planning programs.
- It’s the primary gateway to secure a seat in prestigious engineering colleges across India, including NITs, IIITs, and other government-funded technical institutes (GFTIs).
- The National Testing Agency (NTA) is responsible for organizing and conducting the exam.
- JEE Main is typically held twice a year, usually in April and September.
JEE Main 2025 Exam Pattern
The JEE Main 2025 exam pattern is expected to be similar to the previous years.
- Computer-based test (CBT): The exam will be conducted online.
- Three sections: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
- Total Questions: 90 (30 from each subject)
- Question types:
- Section A: 20 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)

Eligibility
- Candidates who have passed or are appearing for their Class 12 board exams in 2022, 2023, or 2024 are eligible.
- Those in their final year of intermediate or two-year Pre-University exams from a recognized board or university can apply.
- Candidates from the Joint Service Wing of the National Defence Academy (NDA) with a two-year course are eligible.
- Students who have passed or are appearing for Class 12 from the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) with a minimum of five subjects can apply.
- Candidates with a three-year diploma recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education are eligible.
- Institute-Specific Criteria: While the above criteria apply to JEE Main, individual institutes might have additional eligibility requirements.
- NIOS Students: These candidates must select their state of eligibility carefully.

JEE Main 2025 Exam Syllabus
The JEE Main 2025 exam will be conducted for three different programs:
- Paper 1 (BE/BTech): This paper covers Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from Classes 11 and 12.
- Paper 2A (BArch): Candidates will be tested on Mathematics, General Aptitude, and Drawing.
