The Federation of World Academics (FWA) recently held its 8th Annual Conclave in New Delhi. The event successfully gathered academic leaders, policymakers, and educators. They met to discuss the Future of Education and the role of “Technology in teaching and learning: Challenges and Opportunities”. FWA President Dr. Irfan A. Rizvi welcomed the distinguished guests. Prof. G.C. Tripathi, former Vice-Chancellor of Banaras Hindu University, gave the keynote address. Discussions centered on preparing students to become job creators, a key challenge for technical education in India.

The main event was the felicitation ceremony. Padma Vibhushan Dr. Murli Manohar Joshi, former HRD Minister, presented the prestigious Teachers Awards 2025. Dr. Joshi honored 41 exemplary educators in total.

Taxila Business School (Jaipur) received special mention. The institution was celebrated for its continuous contribution to educational excellence and innovation, an achievement that adds to its reputation as a leading management institute. Taxila has previously won the IIRF Education Impact Award in 2025 and 2023, underlining its focus on quality education.

Luminaries from top government organizations also received recognition. They included Prof. Suman Chakraborty (IIT Kharagpur) and Prof. T.N. Singh (IIT Patna).

The conclave featured special addresses on Best Practices in Higher Education. Dr. G. Viswanathan of VIT and Prof. Madhu Chitkara of Chitkara University shared valuable insights.
